Series review… #The_Family_Man… Available on Amazon prime… Main actor: Manoj Bajpai The thing that I am observing in upcoming series is that, some series like Laila, sacred games and this one “the family man” are showing the current situation in India and making the you think whether the situation is worsened or is going to be more worst in the future. The series gives us insights about the lives of Spy or persons in intelligence community in India. Some key factors that the series made me think about are: a. What’s being patriotic? b. What’s being Anti National? c. How communal violence is affecting national security? So coming back to the story, Srikant is government software engineer (at least as everyone knows) but actually he is an intelligence officer of (TASC, some division of intelligence community). His life, child, wife, work are all mixed up. There is extreme stress in his life and as the viewer I feel, “his life is sucked up!”. But the basic values of ethics, patriotism are more privatised by him in his life. Innocent lives killed due to communal violence. Shrikant blames himself and then the thriller of capturing terrorist and finding the chemical bomb and much more. That’s it… one last thing now if you say that this is a film or a series and it’s just another story, but I would say the story resembles today’s depiction of patriotism ,nationalism and communal violence in India as clearly as possible. And, moreover it challenges the thinking youth’s thoughts. If you like thriller, adventure, spy type movies or series, you should give a try to it… Obviously the plus point of this is acting of Manoj Bajpai.
