Mumbai Marathon and ten essays — January 2026

Dear reader,

January began with forty-two kilometres through Mumbai. The Tata Mumbai Marathon 2026 was the month's one race, and it got its own write-up.

It was also the month the writing opened up: ten posts in thirty-one days. I wrote about the pacer's lessons from December, about Obsidian and better note-taking, about digital well-being and the slow path towards becoming a digital nomad, and about the choices we make. I also put my reading into a digital catalogue of its own, and took up the 100 Days To Offload challenge — a hundred posts in a year — which explains a lot of what came after.

Outside the page, the Pune Public Policy Festival, and a talk by Vivek Sawant on the career challenges of the AI era.

The site grew with it: a Books page, and a Challenges page to keep me honest about the hundred.
