Attention, paradoxes and a half — March 2026

Dear reader,

March had one race, the Nanded City LSOM 21K, run with the team from United Enduros in 2:20. Strava counted about 145 kilometres over the month, across 36 activities.

The theme of the month was attention — who has it, who takes it, and what that costs. I read John Brockman's Is the internet changing the way you think? and Shoshana Zuboff's The Age of Surveillance Capitalism, and the writing followed the reading: The Attention Crisis, The Digital Paradox, and a post on coping with dopamine hits.

Away from screens, the Yuva Sanvad Shibir — a youth development camp — got a post of its own.

The short posts were about doing things properly, slowly — and about how, some days, nothing exciting happens and that is fine too.

On the site, the homepage, the Now page and the Challenges tab were redesigned to feel like one place, and the sports page learned to show the marathons interactively.
