Waterfalls, forts and seven builds — August 2026

Issue
August 2026
In numbers
42 km raced, 2 treks, 1 book

Dear reader,

August was full on every front. Two half marathons — a self-paced one up Sinhagad, and the NMDC Hyderabad Marathon — and two monsoon outings that both became Marathi posts: the roaring Lingya waterfall and Ghangad, a remote and beautiful fort.

On Independence Day I went with the Yung Foundation to the Satpuda ranges, and for the first time hoisted the flag in one of the Adivasi padas.

It was also the busiest month for building: seven projects. RunFolio, a new visiting card, E20 ka Chakravyuha, websites for the Antyodaya and YUNG Foundations, a school management portal for Nisarg School — which taught me enough about offline-first design to fill a post — and a site planner.

On the shelf, Santosh Shinde's पट्यारा. Strava counted about 146 kilometres and 2,355 metres of climbing, the most elevation of the year.
