Dear reader,

June went up into the Sahyadri. A birding trail for Environment Day, the Karnala bird sanctuary and its fort, and then Harishchandragad — a trek with a night of camping — which became हरिश्चंद्रगड डायरीज. Add a visit to Satpuda and the Vrukshathon 2026 half marathon, and it was an outdoors month through and through.

Twelve posts followed the trail: on the Konkan and how wandering there enriched me, on Karnala, on the Sahyadri in the Bharat Ek Khoj series, and the second episode of Chronicles of Wandering Mind. One short post asked the obvious question — why all these posts? — and tried to answer it honestly.

Behind the scenes, this site had its biggest month: a move to Vite, a searchable micro-blog archive, an admin dashboard, share-as-image, and proper metadata for search engines and AI crawlers. Much of what you are reading this letter on was built in June.

Strava: about 149 kilometres and nearly two thousand metres of climbing.
